MRC Manufacturing was founded in 1976 as Moon Roof Corporation of America to meet the needs of the automotive industry for replacement roof panels which were dubbed Moon Roofs. MRC became a leader in T-Top Assemblies, which evolved into Reaction Injected and Injection-Molded parts, serving several OEMS in this discipline as well as other product lines for over 45 years.
As thermoplastic injection molding slowly replaced the use of RIM, MRC adapted its equipment, factory layout, and capabilities to align with the market demand. MRC quickly became the go-to provider of service parts for thermopolyolefin (TPO) bumper facias in the late 90’s. Today, MRC is a leading manufacturer with large part capabilities – those requiring up to 4000-ton press capacity.
